Visitor Information Centre - Sackville NB

via Wendy Alder .. "Looking for input on “Visitor Information Centers”. (VICs). Three questions for you to answer in comments or PM me. 1-when you travel do you stop at VICs 2- If you do, is it to gather information on the local area or to use the washroom? 3- if you don’t, how do you gather information on the local area?
I’m gathering information because the Town budget season is coming up and this season there were 852 “parties” (groups travelling together, could be one could be more) through the VIC doors and operation by costs of $23,000 plus wages! Assuming wages are $100,000 (Ron is supposed to get the number for me so MAYBE this is high) that would be $123k, that’s $144 per party! I’m thinking that’s more $ than they would contribute while visiting! Just looking for other town citizens thoughts on the VIC and if people think it is a worthwhile spend of our tax dollars."
